You can use TruckerHelp — browse the map, look up restaurants, and open directions in your preferred maps app — without creating an account or signing in. An account is only needed for features tied to your identity, such as leaving a review or reporting one.
Signing in with Telegram is required for account-dependent features such as posting reviews and reporting reviews. When you sign in, we store:
We do not collect your Telegram phone number, profile photo, or any other Telegram data beyond what is listed above.
When you leave a review, we store your star rating, the review text, and the date it was posted, associated with your Telegram-derived identity. Your name (or username) is shown publicly alongside your review, the same way it appears to you when reading other people's reviews. We may remove or hide reviews as part of normal moderation.
If you believe a review is inappropriate or abusive, you can report it. We keep a record that a review was reported so it can be reviewed. Who reported a review is not shown publicly and is not shared with the review's author.
You can delete your TruckerHelp account from the app's menu. When you do:
Restaurant-suggestion/contact submissions and routes created through the Telegram bot are not automatically deleted when you delete your account, since they are not tied to your account record.
We collect basic usage analytics to operate and improve TruckerHelp, understand how the app is used, and help detect abuse. This can include the type of interaction (for example, opening a restaurant, tapping a call or navigation button), a related restaurant or context identifier where applicable, optional details about the event, and your account identifier when you are signed in. We do not use this data for advertising, and we do not sell it.
We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, an analytics service provided by Cloudflare, to measure aggregate page performance and usage of our web pages, including the pages shown inside the TruckerHelp app (for example, page load timing and page views). It may process technical performance and page-interaction information about your visit that is needed to provide these analytics. We use it only for analytics: we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to track you across other apps or websites.
To use "Suggest a Restaurant," you must first sign in with Telegram. The form collects information about the restaurant you're suggesting — its name, address, phone number, hours, and an optional note — and the submission is associated with your Telegram user ID so we can follow up if needed. It does not collect your own first name, last name, or phone number through this form. These submissions are not automatically deleted if you later delete your TruckerHelp account.
Availability: Route building (From / To / Via) and the Food Along Route map are available only in the TruckerHelp Telegram Mini App. They are not part of the standalone TruckerHelp iOS app. The route information described in this section applies only when you use those Telegram features.
Route search in the Telegram Mini App: When you search for a route (From / To / Via), the addresses you enter are used to calculate the route. Address text is geocoded (converted to map coordinates) and that address-to-coordinate mapping may be cached on our servers to speed up future searches — this cache is not linked to your identity. The calculated route itself is cached temporarily for performance and is not kept long-term.
Routes created via the Telegram bot: When you create a route through our Telegram bot, the addresses and a unique, private share link are stored so the route can be reopened in the Telegram Mini App or shared with someone else. Only someone with that specific link can open the route.
When you grant permission, your device's location is used locally in your browser to center the map and estimate distances to nearby restaurants — it is not sent to TruckerHelp's servers. The map itself (Apple MapKit) and any navigation app you choose to open (Google Maps, Waze, Apple Maps) may independently access or process your device or network location under their own privacy policies.
TruckerHelp uses a session cookie to keep you signed in after you connect with Telegram. This cookie is essential to the sign-in feature and is not used for advertising or tracking across other sites.
The app also stores a small amount of information in your browser's local storage (not a cookie) for preferences such as your selected language and basic app-usage state (for example, whether you've already seen the sign-in prompt). This stays on your device.
TruckerHelp relies on the following services to provide its functionality:
Separately, TruckerHelp provides links to open Google Maps, Waze, and Apple Maps for turn-by-turn navigation. These are only used when you tap them — you are taken to that app or site, and its own privacy policy applies.
IP addresses may be processed temporarily (for example, to apply rate limits and reduce abuse) but are not stored in our application database as part of your account or activity history.
We keep information for as long as needed to provide and operate TruckerHelp, unless it is deleted or anonymized earlier as described in this policy (for example, through Account Deletion). We do not currently enforce a single fixed retention period across all data types.
We do not sell your personal information. Information may be processed by the third-party services described in Section 11 as part of providing TruckerHelp's functionality (for example, sending an address to a geocoding service to calculate a route).
TruckerHelp is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. The app does not currently verify age.
You can use most of TruckerHelp without a Telegram account. If you have signed in, you can sign out at any time, or permanently delete your account from the app's menu. For any privacy questions or requests, contact the operator using the details below.
We use reasonable measures to protect the information TruckerHelp stores, such as secure, private links for shared routes and access controls for account-linked data. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
